Gabrielle’s love for wine was born from her passion for travel. This passion has taken her from studying in France, to working at a winery in New Zealand, the Okanagan Valley, and now to the Lower Mainland to join the team at Fortitude!
While working for a winery in Kelowna, Gabrielle gained hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of winemaking and business, from managing the wine shop to working in the vineyard and assisting in the cellar.
In June 2023 Gabrielle joined Fortitude Wine Bar as a Sommelier where her role quickly expanded to include Wine Director and General Manager. She now curates the wine list, manages the wine club, and organizes engaging wine events, bringing creativity and expertise to every aspect of her work.
Gabrielle has most recently completed the rigorous WSET Level 4 Diploma of Wine, having successfully passed exams in Wine Production, Wine Business, Sparkling Wines, Fortified Wines, and Wines of the World with Merit.
